William Ledbetter Takes Home First Place Prize of the 2nd Quarter of the International Contest and Wins a Trip to Hollywood

William Ledbetter of Prosper, Texas, will be honored in Hollywood at the 28th Annual L. Ron Hubbard Achievement awards being held on Sunday, 15 April, 2012 at the Ebell Theater.
The event will celebrate the annual winners in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests, where William was the 2nd quarter, first place writer winner for this year, surpassing several thousand others who entered the international competition. His winning story will also be published in the bestselling Science Fiction anthology series – L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume XXVIII.

Other winners this year will be flown in from Australia, Canada, England, Sweden and across the USA. They will also receive a week long workshop taught by contest judges, all bestselling authors themselves and led by Tim Powers, author of On Stranger Tides.
The Contest was initiated by L. Ron Hubbard in 1983 shortly after returning to the field of science fiction with his international bestseller Battlefield Earth.
