Quite simply, this is an opportunity to design executive education programs that rely on data and analytics, not just intuition.
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) February 20, 2012
George Mason University’s School of Management and 9Lenses announced today that they have embarked on a strategic partnership that will bring a high level of personalization to the curriculum of Mason’s Executive Education programs.
“Education should never be one-size-fits-all, and by working with 9Lenses, our school will be able to uniquely tailor executive education curriculum to any business based on the precise needs of their workforce,” says Roy Hinton, associate dean of executive programs in Mason’s School of Management. “Quite simply, this is an opportunity to design executive education programs that rely on data and analytics, not just intuition.”
The partnership will enable the School of Management to drastically shorten the amount of time necessary to design executive education programs by introducing a data-driven process for assessing the unique needs of different organizations. The school will use the 9Lenses software to perform a “baseline assessment,” which can be conducted in less than three hours for businesses that range from hundreds to thousands of employees and can identify knowledge gaps, strengths, and weaknesses for each business down to the level of the specific employee.
The School of Management will then design custom executive education programs based on the 9Lenses analytics. Each executive education program will be uniquely tailored to a specific company and its employees. 9Lenses software is currently being used by companies such as HP, Oracle, and Raytheon.
“The movement towards greater and greater levels of personalization is one of the defining trends in software right now, impacting the news we read, the music we listen to, and the products that are recommended to us as consumers,” said Edwin Miller, CEO and founder of 9Lenses. “But this partnership between Mason and 9Lenses marks the first time that personalization will reach higher education, and the end result will be that businesses are going to be able to get much, much more out of continued education for their workforce.”
9Lenses was founded in 2010, and is the leading provider of cloud-based strategy automation software, making the discovery of insights automated, sustainable, and measurable for businesses of all sizes in any industry.
