The 9th Annual World Health Care Congress will convene in Washington D.C. April 16-18, 2012, gathering 1,600 top executives from all industry sectors – both domestic and global – to share insights on emerging trends and best practices for a health care system grappling with the implications of reform and seeking new innovations to provide more-efficient, cost-effective care.

The World Health Care Congress (WHCC) will feature CEOs some of the nation’s largest and most influential commercial companies, including Xerox’s Ursula Burns and Lowell McAdam of Verizon Communications. Top health care industry executives, including Mark Bertolini, CEO of Aetna will join the program, as hospitals and health care system heads, including Charles Sorenson, MD, president and CEO, Intermountain Healthcare.

The 2012 WHCC will focus on the intersection of strategy, innovation and execution and will bring together an agenda of multi-disciplinary CEO panels from health systems, health plans, purchasers, state policy and government. The wide-ranging program is designed to cover both the long-standing health care topics and emerging initiatives that address a 21st century health care market. Several government leaders will also lend their expertise, including Todd Park, Chief Technology Officer for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Iowa Governor Terry Branstad.

Dean, President and Chief Executive Officer, Dignity Health (formerly Catholic Healthcare West).
