F.H. Cann & Associates was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Collections. This program was created by insideARM.com and Best Companies Group.

This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the collections industry, benefiting the nation's economy, its workforce and businesses. This year, the Best Places to Work in Collections list is made up of 30 companies divided into three size categories: Small (15-74 employees), Medium (75-249 employees) and Large (250+ employees). FHC falls into the Medium category.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business;
  • Be a publicly or privately held business;
  • Have a facility in the United States;
  • Have at least 15 employees in the United States;
  • Must be in business a minimum of 1 year;
  • Must be a Collection Agency, Collection Law Firm or Debt Buyer.

Companies from across the U.S. entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Collections. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.

Frank H. Cann, Jr., FHC’s President and Chief Executive Officer stated, “This is a tremendous accomplishment for us. I have worked very hard to establish a leadership team of the right people, with the right attitudes and dedication. Exemplary leadership is the foundation a winning team is built on”.

When asked his thoughts on this accomplishment overall, Walter Steele, FHC’s Chief Operating Officer stated, “It has to do with the chemistry of the organization. The professionalism of our employees and the genuine desire to succeed permeates through every person and every role throughout the company. We take great pride in the fact that all employees are on the same page regarding the professional culture and success-driven environment we have built together at FHC. We have a very difficult job to perform, and the fact that our employees walk out at the end of the day, with the same smile that they came in with, to me, reinforces the commitment we have made to employee satisfaction is paying off.”

Jason Trolian, FHC’s Chief Information Officer added to Walter Steele’s comments stating, “This is just the beginning for us. There are huge things on the horizon at FHC. Getting this kind of independent 3rd party recognition in the media reinforces and validates the emphasis that FHC places on our employees and their opinion of our company”.

With a culmination of talent, employee positivity and decades of experience, FHC has positioned itself as a leader not only in the ARM industry but in the business community as a whole.
