This is a rare opportunity for companies to get exactly the features they need from a market-leading product
Tel Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) February 17, 2012
indeni, the leader in security operations monitoring, today announced the launch of its new Product Definition Partner (PDP) program, designed to bring key partners and customers into its development process. Guided by Elad Ben-Meir, indeni's VP Products and Strategy, the new program builds on indeni’s existing doctrine of enhancing its market-leading security monitoring software based on customer input.
“The Product Definition Partner program formalizes what has been a rather open-ended process,” says Ben-Meir. “We have always solicited and listened to customer feedback and built it into our products' evolution. Now we are moving to a formal process of meetings and conference calls with key players who know exactly what is still needed to enhance day-to-day operations and can help us set priorities for development.”
Participants in the Product Definition Partner program are invited to take part in periodical conference calls with indeni’s product management team to put forward requests and discuss market trends and strategic insights that will help to guide fast development of critical new features while offering participants the ability to present their own specific requests.
indeni held the first PDP conference at the beginning of February and produced immediate results, with value seen from all sides. “We ourselves learnt much about how indeni can best help our customers and partners,” says Ben-Meir,” and participants were able to present and discuss the value they see in indeni and what they would like to be seeing in future.”
The PDP program is not just an opportunity to provide input on where indeni should go; participants also gain a network of fellow contributors, who have similarly deep interest in more comprehensive monitoring capabilities for large and complex network security infrastructures. The program also includes consultation meetings and mentoring relationships between indeni executives and participants to help solve problems in real time, apply lessons learned, and provide guidance on customized designs.
“This is a rare opportunity for companies to get exactly the features they need from a market-leading product,” says Ben-Meir. “To be able to sit at the development table with industry peers and lay out exactly what is needed in the field makes a lot of knowledge available in ways that just build and build. There is no better synergy than what you get from a group of motivated, knowledgeable people with hands-on experience sitting down together to create something that will benefit everyone.”
Program participants will be able to test the new features prior to the product’s general release, allowing both indeni and its partners to refine and expand on the ideas produced. Also under discussion is the roadmap for addition of vendors and devices to indeni’s next generation monitoring coverage; these vendors include: Cisco, F5, Radware, Crossbeam and Blue Coat to name but a few. Through this ongoing blend of consultation, collaboration and continuous development, participants will be able to actively and continually influence the development and direction of indeni's offering.
Membership in the Product Definition Partner program is free. indeni’s partners and customers are invited to apply for positions on the PDP committee by contacting the company directly.
“Collaboration and innovation are the goals of the program,” says Ben-Meir. “Just as we help our customers achieve more stable and more secure networks that connect them to their customers, the PDP program will help us connect with the end users who most benefit from indeni’s very powerful monitoring capabilities. In this way we can stay better aligned with market and customer needs as we continue to expand its features.”
