“Lex Products power distribution systems are ideal for the entertainment market because the products are designed for a wide variety of production applications,” said Bob Luther, chief executive officer of Lex Products. “Lex Products’ solutions are developed to meet specific requirements for markets including convention centers, theatrical production, motion picture production and more.”

Several innovative Lex Products power products and systems designed for the entertainment market will be on display, including:

PowerHOUSE™ Hollywood Box:

The “Hollywood Box” was designed to meet the special power distribution demands of the motion picture production and television production markets. The boxes are portable, lightweight, compact and stackable, making them ideal for motion picture set applications. The Hollywood Box is UL-Listed and available in 60 Amp and 100 Amp stage pin versions. Featuring an electrically insulated enclosure, the boxes are constructed of engineered thermoplastic material and designed to be resistant to corrosion, shock and impact. The Hollywood Box employs breakers designed to help prevent accidental tripping at high temperatures.

PowerFLEX EverGrip® Molded Motor Control Cables:

Winner of a 2011 PLASA “Rock Our World Award,” EverGrip Molded Motor Control Cables were developed by Lex Products to provide superior safety and durability for hoist and motor applications used in entertainment scenery conveyance and rigging. Available in 7 and 14 pin configurations, the product has an internal pre-mold made of a thermoplastic polymer, which encapsulates contacts and wire terminations and protects pins and contacts from damage. The design helps to prevent the interiors from spinning and mis-mating of connectors. EverGrip Molded Motor Cable connectors also feature a solid thermoplastic overmold, which absorbs impact and protects internal conductors. The strain relief is permanently molded to help extend cable life. Lex Products offers a five year limited warranty on EverGrip Molded Motor Cables.
