"When 'Double Trouble' started receiving support from industry heavyweights like Mark Knight and Umek, it became clear that this release could be something special."

Zenbi's tasty solo effort, "Double Trouble," released on German dance music mega-label Great Stuff Recordings, climbs to the peak of leading electronic dance music retailer Beatport's Tech-House Chart.
Zenbi first came to prominence on Saeed Younan's eponymous Younan Music label last year, remixing the imprint owner's Kumbalha alongside Sabb. "I've very recently been settling into my sound, my comfort zone," said Zenbi. "When 'Double Trouble' started receiving support from industry heavyweights like Mark Knight and Umek, it became clear that this release could be something special."
"Double Trouble" is a sleek little groove and an exercise in simplicity. Tribal vocals and a descending, saucy bass line work their way around crisp, perfectly spaced percussion and techy rhythms to create a succinct, deft concoction.
If it is not slick and smooth that a listener might be in the mood for, four remixes from four very talented producers provide a suitably wide palette. Saeed Younan reaches for his box of tribal goodies to compliment the vocal, building on his bouncing, galloping groove with infectious wooden percussion and layers of light techy metallics upping the energy to bring the track to fever pitch. Sexy, seductive and ridiculously plump. Italian star Stefano Noferini reveals his techno edge with his pumping, rolling rework that marries incessant bass to a shoulder-popping rhythm, while UK's finest Filthy Rich brings his tribal tech A-game with a beautifully chunky, brooding version. Zenbi's partner-in-crime rounds off the package with a throbbing, cymbal ride heavy excursion that combines serious bass weight with a decided lightness of touch elsewhere.
Zenbi's releases have caught the ears of an ever-increasing list of talented DJs and have received massive support from Mark Knight, Danny Tenaglia, David Herrero, Erick Morillo, Dr. Kucho, Paolo Mojo, Dubfire, Wally Lopez, Paco Osuna, Chus, David Penn, Roger Sanchez, Marco Carola, Satoshi Tomiie, and many more.
Not only has Zenbi been releasing tracks on notable labels, but he also has his own label (Zenbi Recordings), which includes a talented roster highlighted by Supernova, Uner, Saeed Younan and Sydney Blu. Zenbi Recordings' recent smash hit, Yoav – Club Thing (DJ Kone & Marc Palacios Remix), had recently been top ten in the charts for nearly a month.
Absorbing vibes from DJ-ing at festivals all over the globe such as Amsterdam Dance Event, BPM, Winter Music Conference and Soda Pop Milano, Zenbi will be shaking up the clubs with his undeniable addictive beats at his residency night in Lima Lounge in Washington DC. Pursuing his first love of playing music and creating energy on the dance floor, you will catch Zenbi touring more in 2012.
