Halfords Autocentres first TV advertising campaign airs this week on Dave. The independent car servicing, repair, tyre and MOT network is sponsoring the channel’s motoring programmes from Wednesday 1st February.

Halfords has agreed a 12-month sponsorship with Dave, with Autocentres launching and making up the first 6 months of the activity.

Halfords Autocentres first TV advertising campaign airs this week on Dave. The independent car servicing, repair, tyre and MOT network is sponsoring the channel’s motoring programmes from Wednesday 1st February.

The campaign has been developed by advertising agency DLKW Lowe and is made up of a series of eight ten-second idents designed to raise awareness of Halfords’ fast-expanding Halfords Autocentre brand. The ads will feature before and after the channels motoring programmes, including the incredibly popular Top Gear and Fifth Gear. Each ident features the sponsorship line ‘Happy Motoring on Dave, sponsored by Halfords Autocentres’.

Research commissioned by Halfords identified that motorists want a reliable, quality service from a trusted provider So the campaign positions Halfords Autocentres as trustworthy and friendly establishments where customer service comes first. Each brings the sentiment to life through short humorous scenarios depicting the extent some customers go to in expressing their thanks for the service they’ve experienced – from a man who shaves the name of his technician into his chest hair, to a rather intimidating customer who can’t help but express his thanks through a rather unexpected kiss.
