San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) February 17, 2012
On Thursday, Feb. 16, HNTB Corporation held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new office located at 130 East Travis St. The office will house the firm’s 41 professional engineers, environmental scientists, planners, public involvement representatives and support staff. The firm has an option to lease additional space in the future as the firm continues to grow.
“This move is not only a sign of our growth but it gives us the ability to enhance our resources and maintain those relationships that are closer to the downtown area,” said Glenn Gregory, San Antonio office leader.
“HNTB is excited to be a part of the revitalization of downtown,” said Kevin Young, director of HNTB’s San Antonio office. “Our new location puts us at the center of the dynamic changes going on in downtown San Antonio, especially with Mayor Julian Castro’s call to revitalize the heart of this city.”
HNTB has been a part of many accomplishments in the San Antonio area, including construction management of the U.S. 281/Loop 1604 Interchange – a project designed to address congestion as population has grown and development has transformed North Bexar County over the past three decades. Others projects include the Loop 410/U.S. 281 Interchange, Loop 410 highway widening project from Nacogdoches to Austin Highway, San Antonio International Airport parking garage, U.S. 281 Airport Direct Connector and the Alamo/St. Mary’s reconstruction project.
The office was previously located at the north side of the city by the airport.
