biodesigns announces upcoming webinar Wed., Feb. 29th, with High-Fidelity prosthetic interface inventor Randall Alley.

biodesigns inc., a company specializing in the most advanced upper and lower limb prosthetic systems, today announced that it is hosting a webinar for amputees and the prosthetic community interested in learning about a completely new way to connect the prosthesis to the residual limb. The webinar, “Join The HiFi Revolution,” will be held Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 1 p.m. PST (4 p.m. EST) and led by Randall Alley, CEO and chief prosthetist of biodesigns. Alley will explain the High-Fidelity’s unique patent-pending approach to prosthetic interface design.

“This is the next generation in prosthetic limb connectivity,” Alley said. “Unlike traditional sockets in which soft tissue in the residual limb is simply encapsulated, the High-Fidelity Interface stabilizes skeletally. It is similar to osseointegration (surgically implanted prosthesis) but the interface is removable and does not require surgery.”

In this 60-minute webinar, participants will:

  •     Learn the difference between the High-Fidelity Interface and conventional sockets
  •     Learn the numerous patient benefits of the High-Fidelity Interface, including enhanced performance, greater energy efficiency, more security, safety and greater comfort
  •     Hear from patients who have been fitted with the High-Fidelity Interface
  •     Find out how the High-Fidelity is changing the way prostheses are being fit
  •     Be able to ask questions

In addition, biodesigns will also be hosting separate webinars for prosthetists interested in licensing this patent-pending interface technology.
