Hip hop artist Daveed recently released his mixtape “Est. In 91.” Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes presents the project, which is now available for free download. “Est. In 91” features Daveed on tracks with guest artist appearances from KdotoH, Remo, and Sheb Dula. Production credits include KdotoH, JReed, Truely Yours, and Chemist.

The longest journey starts with the first step, and since taking his first steps toward being a musician—from the moment he stepped into the booth at age 12—Daveed “Lean” Ramsay has been persistent in his pace. The journey has been a rollercoaster of hard work, heartbreak, struggle, and success. But now Brooklyn-native Daveed is set to lead the way in the music industry with his clever and catchy lyrics, charismatic personality, and devotion to his craft. Daveed lists some of his influences as Jay-Z, Nas, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, LL Cool J, Kanye West, and Andre 3000.

Daveed has also dabbled in acting, appearing in football and Dominoes commercials, television shows The Sopranos and Ugly Betty, and in feature length films Get Rich or Die Tryin and Tenure.

Daveed’s musical ability is clear in his popular songs like “Shake Shake” and “Motion Picture.” And while he has spent a lot of time trying to please others, he’s now ready to open up and show who he really is on projects like “Est. In 91.” “I have wasted so much time trying to satisfy everybody’s needs and proving myself to everyone,” he says. “I finally found my comfort zone and am comfortable in my own skin. Any song I create is solely reflective of me and my character.”
