Louisville, KY (PRWEB) February 22, 2012
Registration is open at http://www.apprapids.com/conference for the first AppRapids Conference, March 28, 2012, in Louisville, Ky. This one-day conference will bring together application developers, visionaries, and practitioners who will share their take on how apps are transforming the business and digital worlds. The primary goal of the conference is to share insights of experts in the field while fostering a collaborative environment between speakers and participants.
Apps have been integrated into every aspect of life on both personal and professional levels. However, a lack of knowledge, and consequently agency, exists among many app users and potential app creators. Apps have roots in the past, are impacting the present, and will construct the future. Conference sessions will range from planning and development to implementation and business implications. Speakers will provide details of real-life use cases, best practices and lessons learned.
Three keynote presentations will anchor the conference: Craig James, a partner in CatStrat, a break-the-mold management consultancy firm, will discuss how social media drives apps; Ric Manning, The Gizmo Editor, a technology columnist at the Louisville Courier-Journal, will present a case study on the Gannett App; and Doyle Friskney, Chief Technology Officer and Associate Vice President at University of Kentucky, will outline trends for the future of app development.
The conference will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 28 at WorkShop, the Creative Workplace, 1205 E. Washington Street #101, Louisville, KY, 40206. Conference sponsors include: Arnold IT, PolySpot, WorkShop, the Creative Workplace, and Interactive Media Lab.
Register by March 7 to receive an Early Bird Discount of $70. There are discounted rates available for students and Seed2020 members. Conference registration includes lunch and the end-of-conference networking reception.
