In only 12 months, Swizzles Frozen Yogurt, founded by 35 Year Old, Rye, NY resident, Adam Kessner, has grown to become the largest Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt Chain in New England with locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut and now in New York.

Swizzles Frozen Yogurt has quickly become the largest Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt Chain in New England with the addition of shops in Winchester, Needham, Swampscott, MA, Greenwich, CT, in addition to Bronxville, NY. Swizzles Founder, Adam Kessner, 35, Rye, NY resident, and Frozen Yogurt fanatic, has provided New England with something that the rest of the country has been enjoying, self-serve, delicious, fat-free and low fat frozen yogurt. “Living in NY and seeing first-hand the popularity of self-serve frozen yogurt shops, I saw an opportunity in New England to fill this void. I have chosen specific towns within Southern Connecticut and the Boston, MA regions which offer spectacular communities filled with young families. This is the first time in history that the consumer has the ability to actually pull the the handle on the soft-serve machines. Everyone loves it. The self-serve concept also offers the consumer the ability to control their portion size. My goal with Swizzles was to offer a place where families can come and truly have an enjoyable and delicious experience. When a 13 year old girl enjoying her frozen yogurt in my Darien shop said, 'this is my dream come true,' I know that I had achieved my goal.

Thus far, every Swizzles Frozen Yogurt shop that opens is an instant success. Kessner states, “We opened our doors in Winchester, MA on January 7th, 2012. There was a line literally around the corner waiting to get in on our first day and the craziness has not stopped. Every time I check the Winchester shop cameras remotely from my Darien, CT office, there are still mobs of people in the shop, 40 days later in the dead of winter. Sometimes it appears that there are nearly 100 kids in the shop when school lets out at 2:30 PM. In only 40 days, we have had 20,000 customers enter our shop who have enjoyed the Swizzles Experience.”

Swizzles Frozen Yogurt has created an unbelievable atmosphere with popular music always playing, the “feature wall” as Kessner calls it, with lights that change colors periodically altering the color scheme in the shop, the cool line-up of stainless steel frozen yogurt machines and the endless toppings including fresh fruit, nuts, cereal and candy. Swizzles also offers pints, frozen yogurt sandwiches, drinks and custom order frozen yogurt cakes to go. In the colder months, don’t miss the delicious hot cocoa with marshmallows and whipped cream to take the chill off.

Whatever Kessner is doing seems to be working. Eight shops in only 12 months must be a world record. Don’t think that Kessner is slowing down either. “I have an acquisition in the works which will add another two shops to the Swizzles family, bringing our shop count to 10.”
