“TerraGo proudly supports its customers in the U.S. federal government and the warfighters they serve,” said Mary Chahalis, director, Federal Government Programs at TerraGo.

TerraGo® Technologies, an innovative provider of widely adopted geospatial collaboration software, has expanded its technical and sales team to provide greater support for its growing roster of U.S. federal government customers.

TerraGo geospatial collaboration software and GeoPDF® maps and imagery are among the most broadly deployed COTS solutions to produce, access, update and share geospatial information with anyone, anywhere. The In-Q-Tel portfolio company deepened and significantly grew its federal client base in 2011 with multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts to provide mission-critical geospatial solutions for defense and intelligence agencies.

The newly expanded team will be led by Mary Chahalis, an 18-year veteran of IBM who joined TerraGo in 2010. Recently promoted to director, Federal Government Programs, Chahalis will lead the Washington, D.C.-based team of account managers and technical account managers who have deep expertise in working with U.S. federal government customers.

  •     John Saling has joined TerraGo as account manager. Saling comes to TerraGo from MetaCarta where he served as director, Special Programs, responsible for U.S. intelligence community accounts and programs. Saling is a member of AFCEA, INFRAGARD and the National Military Intelligence Association.
  •     Dan VanBrunt has joined TerraGo as account manager. VanBrunt brings to TerraGo deep sales and geospatial industry expertise acquired during previous positions at ERDAS, Inc., General Dynamics and the Boeing Co.
  •     Jessica Sonday joined TerraGo in 2010 and has advanced to a new role as technical account manager for TerraGo customers in the intelligence community and Department of Defense. Sonday was previously involved with customer support and spent time as a sales engineer assisting the field sales force.
  •     Sherman VanDermark comes to TerraGo from Intergraph Government Solutions, formerly ERDAS, Inc. In his new role as technical account manager, VanDermark will draw from 12 years of experience with technical systems and customer support directly serving federal government clients.

The federal team also includes Atlanta-based Scott Lee, an account manager for defense programs. Lee joined TerraGo Technologies in 2007 as a sales engineer and joined the sales team in 2008. A U.S. Navy intelligence veteran, Scott works closely with TerraGo customers in the Department of Defense, as well as the Canadian Department of National Defence.

“TerraGo proudly supports its customers in the U.S. federal government and the warfighters they serve,” said Chahalis. “With expanded technical and sales resources, TerraGo is well-positioned to provide the support and expertise needed to enable our federal users to meet their mission and maximize agencies’ return on investment in their existing geospatial personnel, systems and assets.”

TerraGo is headquartered in Atlanta. In addition, the company has an office in Washington, D.C. dedicated to its federal customers and an office in the United Kingdom to serve customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
