Power amplifiers...must faithfully amplify complex waveforms with multiple modulation schemes, pulse patterns, pulse bursts and counter-jamming capabilities. Utilizing gain linearization, the dB-4410 does just that.
Fremont, Calif. (PRWEB) February 21, 2012
dB Control Corp., an established manufacturer known for its reliable, high-power microwave amplifiers, radar/electronic countermeasure (ECM) transmitters and power supplies, is introducing the Model dB-4410, a Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier (TWTA) with instantaneous bandwidth in the frequency range of 7.5 to 18 GHz and providing 300 Watts continuous wave (CW) output power at altitudes of up to 75,000 feet. The dB-4410 utilizes gain linearization to provide more linear power for a wide variety of applications, such as X- and Ku-Band airborne data links, electronic countermeasure (ECM) transmitters and electronic warfare (EW) threat simulators for both manned and unmanned platforms.
“Power amplifiers used in radar, ECM and communication systems applications must faithfully amplify complex waveforms with multiple modulation schemes, pulse patterns, pulse bursts and counter-jamming capabilities. Utilizing gain linearization, the dB-4410 does just that, “said dB Control Vice President of Technology and Development Meppalli Shandas. “We also designed the product with several options for customization, including custom frequency bands, multiple prime power inputs, pulsed RF output, and cooling techniques.”
The MIL-STD-461E-, MIL-STD-704-compliant dB-4410 TWTA features very low phase noise and spurious, output power switching into an internal high-power termination for test purposes, extensive built-in test (BIT) capability, a standard interface protocol, RF monitoring and low intermodulation. The unit weighs 70 pounds maximum and measures 10.71-inches by 8.89-inches by 19.33-inches. Liquid cooling is utilized in the present model, with alternative cooling methods available as options.
