People are initially attracted by the surprisingly low cost of entry of our homes and the fact that they can own a home for less than the price of rent in Ottawa, or Kemptville for that matter, with a small down payment.

LA Group has launched Phase II of Kemptville Meadows, a community of competitively priced homes that combines a tranquil country setting with the convenience of being centrally located - less than 45 minutes from either Ottawa to the north or Brockville to the south.

Bordered by the lush treed grounds of the University of Guelph, Kemptville Campus, the community is surrounded by natural amenities including a 150 km trail that weaves its way around the municipality offering opportunities for hiking, walking, cycling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The Rideau Canal, which weaves through town, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a 202 km (Ottawa to Kingston) boater’s paradise.

Beautiful, Historic Town
In addition, beautiful, historic downtown Kemptville is only a short walk away with its eclectic mix of shops and services, including everything from home décor to designer clothing to fine local restaurants.

Kemptville Meadows consists of 136 stacked townhomes in 17 buildings on a seven-acre landscaped site. There are eight spacious two- and three-bedroom designs to choose from and homes range in size from 1,138 – 1,391 square feet. Prices for these homes start at $214,500 – or at least 30% less than a comparable home in Ottawa, with only a five percent down payment. Occupancy of these homes is scheduled for summer 2012.

Project Manager Fred Heller observes that Phase I was met with enthusiastic demand by people at all stages of life with diverse priorities. “We’ve had terrific response from everyone from first time buyers to young families to retirees who are downsizing. And whether they are daily commuters, nature or sports enthusiasts or just want to have convenient access to excellent urban amenities, they quickly realize that they can have it all here.”

“People are initially attracted by the surprisingly low cost of entry of our homes and the fact that they can own a home for less than the price of rent in Ottawa, or Kemptville for that matter, with a small down payment,” adds Heller. “But when they see the unique lifestyle community that they will be a part of that combines country living with being a short drive to the city, they are convinced that we are offering them unbeatable value.”

Great Place to Live
“The biggest asset we have in North Grenville is our quality of life. Old Town Kemptville remains vibrant. We have a new library, new schools, a major addition to our hospital and our own university campus,” observes Mayor David Gordon. “It doesn’t really matter whether you’re single, a couple, a young family or an empty nester… the range of shopping, culinary, cultural , sports and community activities we have here is on par with what you would find in a big city. And yet nature is always at our doorstep. Why wouldn’t you want to live here?”

In addition to its close proximity to the nation`s capital by car, Kemptville has a regular morning and evening bus service to downtown Ottawa that`s ideal for commuters.

Family Fun at Kemptville Meadows
This past weekend Kemptville Meadows had lots to celebrate… formally launching Phase II with the release of 32 new homes and adding a bit of cheer to the Family Day Weekend for kids of all ages, with face painting, a petting zoo and snow cones. They also sweetened the deal for buyers, with $10,000 in free upgrades.
