Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) February 23, 2012
One of the premier events for retail, especially for luxury bedding, occurred this week, the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF), held twice a year in New York City. According to their site, the New York gift show had 2,800 companies available to display their most recent wares, including those businesses within the home textile industry that Elegant Linens, luxury bedding boutique, loves.
Luxury bedding house, Matouk, presented their Spring 2012 Collection at the gift show, complete with a new color in their sateen Nocturne line, a stunningly beautiful deep orange that shimmers like the sun. Matouk favors the orange addition to their lineup so much that an image of it appears on the cover of their Spring 2012 catalog. See Matouks current fashion bedding collection at http://www.elegantlinenspc.com/Matouk.htm. Sferra, another of Elegant Linens' featured bedding houses, was also on hand at the NYIGF, as were Peacock Alley and SDH Enterprises.
The NYIGF features smart and savvy businesses that produce everything from jewelry to luxury bedding to baby boutique items. One of their notable vendor profiles for this year's gift show (visible on their website), includes that of First World Trash owner, Jenelle Malbrough, who creates new items out of used materials, such as her tote bags crafted from used vinyl billboards and seat belt straps.
The rich environment of creativity and innovation that a gift show can inspire is what draws individuals to attend such shows. For those of who love luxury bedding, seeing the new colors, designs, and styles of the season provides an essential window into the year's coming trends and provides an opportunity to get a pulse on broader movements and changes within the industry.
The seminars offered at gift shows also provide a wealth of inspiring ideas from everything regarding how to grow client bases to how to maximize the potential of social media – both of which were hot topics at the Jan/Feb 2012 NYIGF. The “greening” of industries was another hot topic this year. As their home site mentioned, one seminar offered innovative and workable ideas for sustainable business practices, and another sought to answer the question: “How Green is Green?”
Of course, the NYIGF is not the only such event in the United States. On the West Coast, the San Francisco International Gift Fair (SFIGF) will be happening Feb 18-21. California is also home to the California Gift Show, which was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Jan 18-24, 2012. Los Angeles is also home to the Los Angeles International Textile Show, coming in March.
Elegant Linens, luxury bedding retailer, is receiving the Spring 2012 Luxury Bedding Collections from their designers on a daily basis. After the collections preview at the NYIGF, they are meticulously reviewed by the staff at Elegant Linens for quality before the collections may grace the list of Elegant Linens' featured products. The Peacock Alley Spring 2012 Collection has cleared the Elegant Linens quality evaluation. The new line may be viewed at http://www.elegantlinenspc.com/Peacockalleyensembles.htm.
Elegant Linens always encourages their customers to do their research, too, before a purchase. Elegant Linens offers a Touch and Feel Program that allows clients a way to experience the look and feel of a product before purchase. If life draws one to luxury bedding, feeling the difference may well mean believing in the difference of luxury versus regular bedding!
