In a step towards developing a stronger partnership, Axial Technologies announced today that it has signed a proprietary information agreement with Lockheed Martin to allow them to re-gear the Reconisense product line to meet the demands of LM’s customs border and maritime protection surveillance system requirements as a working project partner.
Lockheed Martin will include various Axial Technologies video analytics (AVT234®) platforms in the mix while they pursue various integration options for a flexible, proven multifaceted system solution for maritime and border surveillance. The system will include various types of sensors including, radar, seismic, IR, and encoded digital video. “Our capabilities in real time detection and tracking of intruders using digital video are becoming even more finely honed and directed by this partnership” said Paul Simpson VP of Business Development for Axial Technologies.
The Reconisense series of products offered by Axial Technologies will be integrated to provide real time intrusion detection and tracking of Items of Interest (IOI), up to a distance of 5 to 7.5 miles using video analytics. Lockheed Martin will receive detection and tracking authenticated by Reconisense to their video recorder and display using a “Human Machine Interface” work-station in real-time, which is defined as one-half second or less. To alert operators using real-time video detections IOI’s, the system will provide Border Patrol operators a capability to remotely identify, classify and direct responders to suspicious activity at a long range stand-off distance to allow time to react. Reconisense products are already outfitted with Axial Technologies custom AVT234® software that specializes in operating in adverse weather conditions. “Over the years Axial Technologieshas become a trusted vendor partner for outdoor video analytics software” said Mark Moriarty Sr. Staff Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin.
