Although currently accessible from US and Canada, there are no direct flights from Western Canada to Costa Rica. Vice President Liberman expressed a voice of support towards a new Air Travel Agreement, proposing that trade and tourism between the two countries would grow from an increase the frequency of direct flights from Toronto and introducing direct flights from Vancouver, Canada's the busiest and largest trade port and 3rd most populous metropolitan area in the country.
