Delta Dental of North Carolina Exceeds Sales Growth Target in 2011

Company already outpaces last year’s growth in 2012

With an original 2011 subscriber growth target of 20 percent, Delta Dental of North Carolina has exceeded its goal, ending last year at 26 percent. Yet, to further top off this achievement, the company is already off to a great start this year, adding as many subscribers in the first month as were added in all of 2011.

“We appreciate the response we’ve received in the market to our new plan designs which provide access to the largest network of dentists in North Carolina and the United States,” said Curt Ladig, president and chief executive officer of the dental benefits provider, who joined the company in January 2011. “The response to our superior customer service has also been extremely motivating as well.”

During this busy period of growth and to also accentuate its customer service, the company has implemented a new, user-friendly website including e-tools to better serve members, group administrators and brokers.

“Much of today’s business and personal transactions are done on the Internet and our clients want to have access to resources and information immediately,” Ladig stated. “We are always looking at more efficient ways to better accommodate and serve our clients.”

To serve the company’s growing customer base, it has also expanded its employee base in the Raleigh and Charlotte offices.

“We have welcomed two new account managers, a sales executive, and a provider relations representative to our team just in the last six months and there are plans for more soon,” said Ladig. “Our mission is to improve oral health in North Carolina and we are passionate about reaching out to everyone in the state about our individual and employer group plans. Everyone deserves a happy smile.”
