Gulf Coast Supply’s New Logo Reinforces its Commitment to Remain a Leader in the Metal Roofing Industry

A name trusted by architects, contractors and homeowners in the Southeast is sporting a different graphical look: Gulf Coast Supply & Manufacturing, LLC, ( has unveiled a new logo designed to emphasize its leadership role as a manufacturer of high quality metal roofing.

Gulf Coast Supply & Manufacturing, LLC, ( entered the New Year with two additional Florida locations and a new product line called OceanGuard, but the company’s redesigned logos may turn out to be, long-term, one of its most significant decisions.

Because it represents a line drawn in the beach sand that while some other companies are diversifying their product line and diluting their knowledge base, Gulf Coast has made its commitment to high quality roofing even deeper.

“We wanted a logo that gives new, recognizable branding to what has become one of the largest, most trusted metal roofing and metal building manufacturers/suppliers in the Southeast U.S.,” explained Vice President Jonathan Sherrill, whose father and uncle founded the company 16 years ago.

“Gulf Coast Supply is a leader in manufacturing metal roofing and components, serving all of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and the Caribbean,” he added.

While attractive in its own way, Gulf Coast’s old logo – with its bold, blockish, serif letters on a delicately scrolled, white banner – was just too generic when viewed alone.

Not so, the new logo

With the word “Gulf” in the blue-purple of the Gulf of Mexico’s deep waters and “Coast” reminiscent of the aquamarine waves that kiss the Gulf beach sand, the san serif font is simple, strong and easy-to-read. The words “Gulf Coast” are nestled beneath a clean, crisp graphical representation of a metal roof and above the words “Supply & Manufacturing,” which are in all caps.

There’s no question that it exemplifies metal roofing.

The new logo is prominent on the company’s web site at It is also featured at all three GCS facilities:

Horseshoe Beach - 4020 SW 449th Street Horseshoe Beach, FL 32648, the company’s headquarters in Dixie County.

Alachua - 14480 NW US Highway 441, Alachua, FL, 32615, in Alachua County, which serves Gainesville and Central Florida.

Stuart - 8701 SW Old Kansas Ave., Stuart, FL, 34997, in Martin County, where the service area extends out in a 75-mile radius and includes Vero Beach and the region around Indian River County.

As with staff members at the Horseshoe Beach headquarters, employees at the new Alachua and Stuart locations are steeped in Gulf Coast Supply’s tradition of product knowledge and customer service.

“Everyone in our sales staff is trained and knowledgeable, especially on metal roofing,” Sherrill said, adding that from design phase to long-term warranties, customers deal with just one sales representative. “Big box stores, and even smaller chain stores, have to be familiar with so many different products – and that limits their knowledge on any one of them, especially roofing.”

One of the products about which GCS staff members are well-versed is the OceanGuard Aluminum Series. OceanGuard, specially constructed to meet the challenges of coastal living, is attractive, durable and energy-efficient. Its key advantages include:

Setbacks - There is no specific setback requirement regarding distance from breaking surf or salt-water shoreline.

Saltwater - OceanGuard has a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty.

Coating - Kynar 500, known for its color retention, offers superior weatherability and resistance to corrosion.
