As the Mercedes-Benz Superdome spends $85 million readying the gridiron, Starwood Properties has selected Montgomery Roth Architecture and Interior Design, with offices in Houston and New Orleans, to handle all aspects of the Sheraton’s major renovation. Scheduled to begin February 23, 2012, all work will be completed by January 5, 2013, in time for the Super Bowl on February 3, 2013.

Known world-wide for large-scale hospitality design, Montgomery Roth was chosen for the comfortable elegance of their suite and public space designs, as well as their ability to handle complete interior design, architecture and furniture purchasing services including space planning, design, layout, working drawings, specifications, furniture procurement and project management through final installation, Montgomery Roth ensures the Sheraton’s Super Bowl guests will enjoy the ultimate headquarters in the Big Easy.

The renovated Sheraton New Orleans Hotel will provide a selection of 1110 guest rooms, including graciously appointed standard rooms and elegant suites with a warm residential feel. Governor’s Suites with spectacular views feature The Sheraton Sweet Sleeper™ Bed and a parlor with a 37” flat screen television, sofa bed, chair and wet bar, and are available with a connecting second bedroom. They accommodate hospitality for approximately 30 people and meetings for 6-8. Super Bowl fans will enjoy105,700 square feet of the finest convention and exhibit facilities available, two restaurants, and a Starbucks as well as the Pelican Bar. Montgomery Roth’s thoughtful renovation will preserve both the Pelican Bar’s landmark gazebo and its French Quarter courtyard ambience.

The Sheraton borders the French Quarter and is close to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Warehouse Arts District, the Aquarium of the Americas, Bourbon Street, Riverwalk Marketplace and Canal Place, as well as the Superdome. With a prime location, extensive amenities and a warm, welcoming new design by Montgomery Roth, smart money is on the Sheraton New Orleans as the hot place to stay for Super Bowl XLVII.
