With interest rates low, the virtual elimination of defined benefit plans, and people living longer in retirement, many advisors will have to rethink retirement planning completely.

Loring Ward today announced that it has expanded its support for financial advisors and their clients with the introduction of the Distribution Portfolio Series (DPS), six globally-diversified model portfolios designed to accommodate the needs of investors—primarily retirees—for periodic distributions from their portfolios.

The portfolios are also designed to help financial advisors address clients’ sometimes impulsive behavior and prevent emotional reactions to short-term market events.
