We built the alimony calculator to give North Carolinians some sense of what other formulas provide.
Charlotte (PRWEB) February 23, 2012
Rosen Law Firm has unveiled an online alimony calculator that helps people going through a divorce estimate potential alimony payments.
“North Carolina doesn’t have alimony guidelines,” says North Carolina divorce lawyer Lee Rosen, whose team created the alimony calculator. “There isn’t any formula. We built the alimony calculator to give North Carolinians some sense of what other formulas would provide.”
According to Rosen, every couple’s situation is different – so it’s important to use the alimony calculator only as a guide. Based on the payee’s and the payor’s annual incomes, the number of supported children between the two and outside the marriage, and the length of the marriage, the North Carolina alimony calculator provides a breakdown of what alimony would be in any of a dozen other jurisdictions.
The alimony calculator also provides an average monthly and yearly sum between those 12 jurisdictions so divorcees can get a rough idea of what their alimony payments may look like. Each jurisdiction uses a different formula to calculate alimony, which is explained in detail on the results page.
Rosen Law Firm has offices in Raleigh, Charlotte and Chapel Hill, and is committed to helping couples find equitable solutions during divorce proceedings. The North Carolina alimony calculator provides estimates on potential alimony payments because it can help couples prepare for individual financial futures; however, North Carolina does not have a specific formula and every case is will have its own unique outcome.
