The GraphicDesign.com Advisory Board is taking shape and now numbers over 20 people from vastly different areas of the design industry.

The GraphicDesign.com Advisory Board is taking shape and now numbers over 20 people from vastly different areas of the design industry. The group will lend advice in order to create a website that will serve the community in a positive way.
Among the newest Advisory Board members is Von Glitschka, who has worked in the communication arts sector for over 20 years. This designer and illustrator founded Glitschka Studios in 2002, which pumps out illustrative design projects in a broad range of genres. He’s published four books to boot.
The Type Studio and TypeCast Webinars founder Ilene Strizver is also a brand new member of the Advisory Board. Her experience is expansive and includes typographic educating, consulting, designing, and writing. Her past roles included serving as the Director of Typeface Development for International Typeface Corporation and interacting with top-of-the-line type designers. She’s the author of “Type Rules! The Designer’s Guide to Professional Typography” and brings a highly unique background to the GraphicDesign.com think tank.
Marketing Mentor founder Ilise Benun will lend her talents to the GraphicDesign.com Advisory Board. Her CV includes seven books, including “The Designer’s Guide to Marketing and Pricing” and “The Creative Professional’s Guide to Money.” According to her GraphicDesign.com bio, Benum “is on a mission to teach the creatively self-employed how to take control of their business and get the work they want, and she does this through one-on-one, as well as group, mentoring.”
Talent recruitment guru Karl Heine will lend his 30 years of experience to the site. Heine teaches Business Practices and Ethics and has served on the boards of several graphic-related organizations and institutions. He’s a frequent lecturer and will be invaluable as readers come to GraphicDesign.com for professional guidance.
kHyal founded the fiZz Agency in 2007 and will now make her way to the Advisory Board of GraphicDesign.com. She has worked with a multitude of firms throughout her career as a designer, creative director, writer, and marketing executive, including Microtech International, SunStar Publishing, Blowtorch Studios, and McGraw-Hill.
Rounding out the newest group of recruits for the Advisory Board is Debbie Millman, President of the Design division of Sterling Brands. On the horizon for GraphicDesign.com is a retooling of the look and layout of the website with input from the Advisory Board. The goal is to re-launch the site with an optimal user experience and deliver content that the target audience of GraphicDesign.com will want to read and share with others.
