Affiliated Auctions, North Florida & South Georgia's Premier auction house, will hold a three day winter auction event on March 2nd - 4th, 2012.
Friday, March 2nd, the auction will begin at 6 pm, offering a wide variety of items from jewelry to militaria. With over 200 lots, this Friday night auction promises to have something for everyone.
Saturday, March 3rd, Affiliated Auctions will host its Military and Firearms auction starting the bidding at 10 am. The auction will also include a 19th Century breech loading swivel cannon, which features Liege, Belgium proof marks, and an 18th Century flintlock blunderbuss. Civil War collectors will be delighted to find a large collection of both Union and Confederate buttons for sale, as well as an 1860 pattern Confederate square belt buckle.
Firearms enthusiasts will enjoy the large collection of guns included in the March third gun auction including everything from a Commemorative edition Auto Ordinance 1911 .45ACP pistol to a Colt Single Action Army revolver. Interesting for both its historical significance and as a firearm, the sale features a pre-Civil War manufactured Colt 1849 Pocket Model .31 caliber revolver, carried throughout the entirety of the war as the personal side arm of Captain Loomis L. Langdon of Battery M, 1st US Field Artillery.
