Our JUNO Awards Getaway makes it easy to immerse yourself in the excitement that the JUNOs will bring.
Ottawa, Ontario (PRWEB) February 23, 2012
Ottawa Tourism has launched a JUNO Awards Getaway package that includes overnight accommodation options as well as the option to purchase tickets to the 2012 JUNO Awards, to be held Sunday, April 1 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. Special JUNO-themed exhibits are also planned at the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of Civilization; admission to these institutions is also an optional add-on to the package.
The JUNO Awards celebrate the best in Canada’s music scene and the days leading up to the awards ceremony will include special concerts, a songwriters’ circle, a FanFare series of celebrity appearances and even a charity hockey game. The awards themselves will be hosted by William Shatner and will feature performances by Blue Rodeo, City and Colour, deadmau5 and Feist, among others.
Ottawa Tourism also has a Third Night Free offer at participating hotels for bookings and travel by March 31, 2012, which makes the prospect of a long weekend of great Canadian music even more tempting.
“Ottawa is the place to be that week,” says Noel Buckley, President and CEO of Ottawa Tourism. “Our JUNO Awards Getaway makes it easy to immerse yourself in the excitement that the JUNOs will bring.”
Looking further ahead, Ottawa Tourism has also launched a Van Gogh Experience package, to coincide with the hotly anticipated blockbuster exhibit Van Gogh: Up Close at the National Gallery of Canada, May 25-September 3, 2012.
That package includes hotel accommodation, tickets to the exhibit, tickets to the IMAX film called Van Gogh: Brush with Genius at the Canadian Museum of Civilization and a Rideau Centre Savings Directory. Visitors may choose to add an optional Van Gogh inspired meal at Le Cordon Bleu Bistro @ Signatures restaurant.
