The world’s leading experts in health related quality of life will present their latest research at the International Society for Quality of Life Research 19th Annual Conference in Budapest, 24–27 October, 2012.
The conference has adopted the theme “The Journey of Quality of Life Research: A Path Towards Personalized Medicine”, which will be reflected in oral sessions, symposia, and poster sessions presented throughout the conference. Each of the four plenary speakers will discuss a pressing topic to the profession, including e-health innovations, closing the gap between clinical trials and clinical practice, the movement towards personalized medicine, and comparative effectiveness research and patient reported outcomes. Pre-conference workshops will be offered on a variety of topics including response shift, qualitative studies, genetics and quality of life, and more.
Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) professionals working in academia, hospitals, research centers, pharmaceutical industry, clinical data management companies and government interested in submitting an abstract for consideration for presentation can find the call for submissions on the conference website, http://www.isoqol.org/2012conference/. Abstracts can be submitted from 19 March–1 May, 2012. ISOQOL also offers scholarships for new investigators and participants from developing countries to attend the conference.
