BrandNewStart.com unveiled the beta version of its web site this week in an effort to showcase the company’s vision for the future of “brand sharing.” BrandNewStart.com offers brand owners, of both active and expired brands, the ability to sell and license their brands to companies that require a brand for a new venture or product. The company’s founder, Jeremy Alicandri, states “by hiring the brands that ensure commoditized products will stand out in a competitive marketplace, manufacturers avoid the unpredictable, drawn-out, and expensive burden of brand development. It’s a win/win,” explains Alicandri, “brand owners obtain licensing income and exposure in new markets, and brand buyers receive an instant brand identity for their products.” Alicandri specifically cites Asian markets as a focus for his company, stating that Asian manufacturers are finding brand development costs prohibitive in outside markets. By licensing American and International Brands, Asian manufactures gain a significant advantage over their non-branded competitors. In addition to active and expired brands, BrandNewStart.com also offers entrepreneurs “brandable” domain names with logos to jumpstart the launch of their new ventures.
