Momentum built with successful trauma experience leads to additional sites and new use cases.

Our rapid expansion in Hawaii results from new organizations joining the network along with an increasing number of study exchange use cases. We are pleased to have a diversity of healthcare facilities entrusting their medical information sharing to BEAM.

OneMedNet Corporation, provider of BEAM™, an industry-leading, peer-to-peer (P2P) network for securely sharing medical images, today announced the expansion of its BEAM network in and around Hawaii. The following hospitals and imaging centers joined the BEAM network: Castle Medical Center, part of Adventist Health; Wahiawa General Hospital; Y&M Radiology; Ka’u Hospital and Guam Memorial Hospital.

These sites join The Queen’s Medical Center,  Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children, Maui Memorial Medical Center, Wilcox Memorial Hospital, Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital, Kona Community Hospital, North Hawaii Community Hospital and Hilo Medical Center. Together they are utilizing the BEAM network to improve care by quickly transmitting patient studies directly between each other instead of using CDs.

“Our rapid expansion in Hawaii results from new organizations joining the network along with an increasing number of study exchange use cases such as radiology, cardiology, neurology, mammography, orthopedics and oncology,” explained Bing Teng, CEO of OneMedNet Corporation. “BEAM is fast, reliable, easy to use and simple to implement, providing immediate benefits to our new customers. We are pleased to have a diversity of healthcare facilities regionally and nationally entrusting their medical information sharing to BEAM.”

The Hawaii network began in partnership with the Hawaii Department of Health to demonstrate the patient care benefits of rapid, electronic delivery of imaging studies in trauma situations across the state of Hawaii. With the BEAM network successfully in place at trauma hospitals, additional medical centers and imaging centers have selected BEAM for their study exchange needs. Today the BEAM network is used to not only send trauma transfers but also to collect mammography priors, facilitate treatment planning, support surgical procedures, refer patients and address many more use cases. By rapidly transferring diagnostic imaging studies through BEAM, hospitals and imaging clinics are able to enhance the quality of patient care, increase clinical efficiency and avoid repeat examinations.

The BEAM network is a simple, secure way to provide medical image sharing anywhere around the world over the Internet without a VPN connection. BEAM is the most direct and reliable way to share medical files between providers. Whether urgently transferring images for a critically injured trauma patient or a non-urgent referral to a specialist, BEAM makes medical image sharing simple, fast and secure.
