On Wednesday, February 29 at 11:00 a.m. CST, Ogi Kavazovic, VP of Strategy and Marketing, Opower, will be speaking at the Smart Energy Summit on a panel entitled “Boosting Consumer Adoption: New Value Propositions.”
This interactive discussion will address the new marketing strategies designed to entice consumers to change the way they purchase, conserve and manage electricity. Panelists will discuss the value of consumer usage data to various stakeholders (utility, consumer, HAN service vendor), the impact of data ownership issues, and the requirements to boost consumer adoption, including increased awareness and new and compelling value propositions.
“The energy market is changing, especially the way utilities interact with their customers,” said Kavazovic. “The new normal for utilities is incorporating customers’ preferences and habits into the services and the tools they provide, and understanding usage data is essential to delivering value.”
Smart Energy Summit is an annual three-day event hosted by international research firm Parks Associates. The event examines the opportunities and technical and business requirements inherent in the consumer programs and advanced systems and services made possible by Smart Grids and Residential Energy Management solutions.
The summit features industry leaders, managers, and strategists in panel discussions on the state of the market plus the emergent consumer and business opportunities as the market develops and deploys advanced REM solutions. This year, the Summit will take place from February 28 to March 1 at the Hyatt Regency Austin.
