Representatives from Kia Motors signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Environment Programme to confirm the company’s support of WED.

Since the first celebration in 1972, World Environment Day has grown to be the most well recognized day on the planet for positive environmental action. The day fits in well with what Kia stands for, as the company has produced highly efficient vehicles since its inception.

To help celebrate, Kia will be awarding five eco-friendly Kia vehicles to five different organizations which are active participants in WED. The efficient vehicles that Kia will be awarding include four 2012 Kia Rios and one 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid.
