Pervasent, developer of the award-winning Zinio and Chipotle apps, has introduced its Persuasion platform that lets organizations take control of their document distribution process and deliver up-to-date sales and marketing materials to the best device available for sales calls – the iPad.
As electronic documents have replaced paper versions, one thing has remained constant – getting the latest information to sales and service reps is a challenge for most organizations. Old datasheets, price lists and bulletins fill up laptop hard drives. Information for new products never seems available.
With Persuasion, product marketers and sales support staff organize “portfolios” of documents using a customized Microsoft SharePoint® interface. Portfolios can contain any number of presentations, datasheets, price lists and videos.
Fine-grain control is provided for specifying who should receive documents and when documents should be downloaded. Sales reps just tap on the Persuasion app on their iPad, enter their credentials, and their portfolios are downloaded. Out-of-date and superseded documents are automatically removed. It’s that simple.
Persuasion doesn’t just make documents available on the iPad. The app provides an easy-to-use and professional platform for making presentations. Sales reps seamlessly transition between slideshows, videos, spreadsheets and PDF documents - all within Persuasion.
An enhanced PDF reader lets users swipe through large documents without delay. Integrated pen, highlighter and note tools let sales reps circle prices, highlight features and jot down special requirements. Annotated documents can be emailed to customers directly from Persuasion.
While the iPad is ideal for ad-hoc, shoulder-to-shoulder meetings, Persuasion is equally comfortable in the conference room. Simply attach the iPad to a projector or HDTV, tap on Persuasion and you’re ready to present to large groups.
