The Institute of Consulting (IC), the UK’s professional body representing independent consultants and consultancy firms is launching a new consultancy jobs board for new and experienced consultants looking for consulting jobs. Open to all consultancy jobseekers, the IC’s new jobs board aggregates consultancy jobs from across the web and posts them alongside vacancies from clients – it will be the largest job board for consulting jobs in the UK.

In a recent survey of its members, the IC found 68% of respondents felt there were good opportunities for their firms to find new business even in today’s volatile economic conditions and the new jobs board will become the first port of call for consultants looking to maximise on these opportunities and win business.

The jobs board is already attracting recruiters from within the industry: Steve Benfield, Managing Director at The Beech Consultancy, commented, "Being operated by the IC, the new consultant jobs site is very much targeted at the kind of consultancy job seekers that we are looking to recruit. The board will help us find consultants who can demonstrate professionalism and expertise."

Huw Hilditch-Roberts, Director in charge of the IC, sees the job board as reinforcing the IC’s position as the ‘go-to’ organisation for consultants in the UK, “We provide world-class tools, guides and training for new and experienced consultants. The new jobs board supports our strategy of providing the resources and support that our members need, both in delivering excellent work for clients and finding them work.”

Hilditch-Roberts continued, “This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the IC and we are launching a series of new initiatives, the first of which is the jobs board. This is the first time in our fifty-year history that the IC is opening its doors to recruiters by allowing them to advertise consultancy vacancies in partnership us.”

Through the new jobs board, anyone seeking a job in consultancy can now save time searching through many different job sites with the IC’s new service. The new jobs board also gives jobseekers the ability to save searches, receive customised email alerts and upload their CVs to enable recruiters to find them.

Recruiters using the consultancy jobs board are first vetted by IC staff and can then post their opportunities directly through the IC, safe in the knowledge that their vacancies will be tightly targeted, reaching individuals in the consulting industry. Further, recruiters can be sure that job applicants who are IC members have signed up to the IC’s code of conduct and are committed to high quality, professional consulting.
