For over twenty five years, Grooms has held a number of key roles in both consulting and corporate IT and was most recently the Vice President and CIO of McDonald's USA. While with McDonald’s he also served as Vice President and Regional CIO for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, and Senior Director of Global Enterprise Resource Planning. Prior to joining McDonald's, Grooms was a senior client partner for Cambridge Technology Partners in Chicago and also spent ten years with Booz Allen & Hamilton. He has served on a number of outside boards and IT industry organizations, including the CIO Board of the National Retail Federation, The Black Data Processing Association (BDPA-Chicago), and the Boy Scouts of America. Grooms is a former U.S. Army Officer, holds a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University and has completed post-graduate work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. He is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at the post-graduate level.
