Hollywood, Florida (PRWEB) February 28, 2012
From Sandy Hook to Cape May (and all points in between), the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be recreating the sights and sounds of the New Jersey Shore right here in South Florida! It’s all part of the resort’s $350,000 Boardwalk Live Weekend taking place March 1 – 4.
Take a stroll back in time as Seminole Paradise waxes nostalgic by transforming its Center Fountain into a mini “Steel Pier.” Join renowned oldies DJ and Atlantic City Weekly columnist Jerry “The Geator with the Heator” Blavat and Jersey Shore regulars the Bubba Mac Blues Band performing live from 5 – 8 p.m. March 1 – 3.
In homage to New Jersey’s rock and roll club roots, Paradise Live will “become” The Stone Pony, the iconic Asbury Park bar that gave Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and “Little” Steven Van Zandt their start and went on to feature Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Ramones, Todd Rundgren, Dion, Mountain, KISS, The Smithereens, Weezer, Maroon 5, Jason Mraz plus numerous musical and national charitable initiatives.
On Thursday, March 1, beginning at 8 p.m., the B Street Band, the longest-running Bruce Springsteen tribute band in the world, takes the stage performing The Boss’ biggest hits. Immediately following, East Coast rock and rollers can enjoy a slice of history with the Bebe Buell Band. Buell, the band’s dynamic namesake singer, songwriter, best-selling author and internationally renowned model, will perform original songs from her latest release Hard Love as well as career hits.
On Friday, March 2, both bands will perform with doors opening at 10 p.m. On Saturday, March 3, the Bebe Buell Band will perform at The Stone Pony at 10 p.m.
Don’t miss these rare South Florida performances! Admission for all shows at The Stone Pony is $10 for the general public; no cover charge when you show your Seminole Player’s Club Card at the door.
Throughout the weekend, Planter’s Mr. Peanut will be strolling the retail and entertainment complex handing out sweet and salty free samples while retro beauty queens preen and pose for photos alongside classic automobiles embodying the sun and surf spirit of the 1950s and ‘60s.
On March 1, Seminole Hard Rock guests can play their favorite games to earn entries to win a Cadillac CTS and drive up and down The Shore in style. Swipe your Player’s Card from 12:01 a.m. – 5:59 p.m. on March 1 and receive an additional entry for each 200 points earned. Table Games players earn one entry for every $800 bet wagered. At 6 p.m., the winner will be drawn.
Guests can also play to win for a $50,000 Beach House Getaway on The Shore in Brigantine. Swipe your Player’s Card, daily from March 2 - 4, to receive an additional entry for each 200 points earned. Table Games players earn one entry for every $800 bet wagered. On Sunday, March 4, at 4 p.m. in the Main Lobby, three players will be selected to win $30,000, $15,000 or $5,000 cash for a Beach House Getaway of their dreams! Players have four (4) minutes to present valid identification and Player’s Club card. If the winner is not present in four (4) minutes, he or she will forfeit the prize.
On March 2 and 3 at 8 p.m. at Hard Rock Live, you won’t want to miss the original “Jersey Boy” Frankie Valli. Valli, who came to fame in 1962 as the lead singer of the Four Seasons, is hotter than ever in the 21st century thanks to the volcanic success of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, which chronicles the life and times of Frankie and his legendary group. Groove along to classics such as “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Rag Doll,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Who Loves You,” and “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night).” Valli has toured almost continuously since 1962, and his songs have been omnipresent in such movies as The Deer Hunter, Dirty Dancing, Mrs. Doubtfire, Conspiracy Theory and The Wanderers. More recently, Valli’s music permeated the hit HBO series The Sopranos. Valli even guest-starred as mobster Rusty Millio in seasons five and six. Tickets cost $74, $64, $54 and $44*; all seats are reserved and available at all Ticketmaster outlets online at http://www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone: 1-800-745-3000.
