The combination of our subscription product and the launch of in-app billing for Android means boxPAY is the most versatile mobile payment option on the market, and we continuously aim to provide the most flexible product for our clients.

The new release enables app developers to bill users for content in a single touch, with the end charge going to the mobile phone bill, without ever removing the user from the app. It works for mobile and tablet applications in a variety of verticals, including: gaming, press and media, music, classified, dating, and more. boxPAY currently works with web merchants who want to offer their customers alternative payment options to services that require registration and traditional credit card billing.

The existing boxPAY product is a desktop widget that merchants can integrate so customers can make an online purchase by entering their mobile phone number at the point-of-sale. With the new Android in-app product, the software automatically recognizes the phone number of the user, effectively removing the SMS confirmation step that is required with the desktop widget. Company Co-Founder Gavin McConnon said, “The conversation rates that our merchants see with boxPAY are exponential compared to credit card billing. With Android in-app carrier billing product, the payment-wall is reduced to a single touch, making it incredibly seamless for the user. This will further increase successful sales for merchants.”

boxPAY offers cross-platform monetization to merchants, with their payment gateway working on desktop, mobile, and tablet devices, in many programming languages including Flash and HTML 5. Co-Founder Iain McConnon said, “We recently released our subscription product, which is unique to boxPAY. The combination of that and the launch of in-app billing for Android means we are the most versatile mobile payment option on the market, and we continuously aim to provide the most flexible product for our clients.”

Merchants can integrate the boxPAY desktop widget into their website by visiting boxPAY.com to access the provided billing code for placement into a website. An SDK for the Android product is available by emailing sales(at)boxpay(dot)com. There is no cost to get started with boxPAY or to integrate the mobile billing products, and it is available in more than 40 countries.
