Only 51 companies in Ireland have achieved certification to ISO 27001, making ICE Computers amongst the top 0.5% of Irish companies when it comes to information security.
This significant achievement means that ICE's customers will enjoy the many benefits that this certification brings. They can have confidence that their sensitive data is being interacted with in an environment that operates to the very highest standard for information security.
ISO 27001 is the international best practice standard for information security. It sets out the requirements for the establishment of an information security management system. ISO 27001 provides for a framework under which the management of information security takes place. This covers not only IT security, but many other areas of a business, such as personnel security, physical security, legal compliance and business continuity.
Commenting on their achievement, Gerard Cox, Commercial Director for ICE Computer Services said, "ICE is regarded as one of the leading software companies that are committed to developing and improving IT standards and compliance for our Credit Union customers in Ireland. By achieving the ISO 27001:2005 certification, we can demonstrate to our customers our commitment to Data Security, as well as our commitment to providing the highest standard in everything we do."
Michael Brophy, CEO of Certification Europe, commented, "This certification demonstrates ICE's commitment to the security of their clients' data. ICE can give their customers, and the marketplace, confidence that they are operating to the highest levels for information security.
