Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) February 29, 2012
The Circuit 2012 continues on March 24th with The Best of The West Kickball Tournament in Long Beach, California. The third annual Best of The West Kickball Tournament is the second tournament of The Circuit’s 2012 season and this year expects more than 12 teams to compete, offering cash prizes to the tournament finalists.
“We just wrapped a very successful tournament in South Florida and now set our sights on crowning The Best of The West champion,” said Matthew Kemph, Founder/CEO of Kickball365. “It’s Southern California in March, so you can expect great weather and nice playing fields. We’re also expecting a very competitive field of teams. The Best of The West is unique because for many West Coast teams it’s their first go at competitive kickball for the year, so the energy is really high. Stevin Ozier and his management team are putting together a great all-around experience for this tournament, and I’m confident that all the teams involved will have a great weekend in Long Beach.”
The 2012 Best of The West tournament will draw more than 12 teams and 250 players from across the SouthWest, including teams from Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and of course, California. Among the competitive teams taking part are two teams who made the Sweet 16 in 2011’s inaugural Circuit Cup Championship in Las Vegas.
“It looks like we’re going to have a high concentration of competitive teams in this year’s tournament, which makes every game critical,” continued Kemph. “The top teams in this tournament can call themselves The Best of The West, but they very often go on to prove they are among the best in country too. The Kickball365 community is starting to buzz in anticipation for The Best of The West.”
The Best of The West tournament is an open tournament, meaning that teams neither have to be invited nor qualify to enter, and features its own unique team grouping system. Teams have the option to compete in the Elite Tournament or the JV Tournament depending on their skill level. Only the teams competing at the Elite Tournament will have a chance to qualify for The Circuit Cup Championship 2012.
“We had a great turnout at last year’s event and we’re honored to be the first West Coast tournament of The Circuit season in 2012,” said Steve Ozier, Event Manager, The Best of The West Kickball Tournament. “Players can expect an amazing total experience from the tournament. They will get a highly organized, well-planned and executed on-field player experience, and an exceptional social experience both at the park - with a live concert during the lunch hour - and at both social events: the BEST Welcome Party on Friday night and the BEST After Party on Saturday after the tournament. It’s a great destination tournament and we’ve worked with Matt and his team to make it a really full experience for everyone joining us.”
The Best of The West is the second stop of The Circuit 2012 and The Circuit’s first west coast tournament of the season. Teams will compete over the next nine months in an effort to amass official Circuit Points at events across the country. Those points earned will be used to determine the seeding for the true ultimate championship at the conclusion of the year, the Circuit Cup Championship presented by Complete Discovery Source (http://www.cdslegal.com). The Champion of the Circuit Cup will win $10,000 and the top sixteen (16) teams will also receive cash prizes. The full 2012 schedule can be found here.
