Nomination Deadline Extended: Heroes with a Heart Grant Awards for Non-Profit Literacy and Arts Volunteers

Heroes with a Heart is a non-profit grant award for your literacy or arts hero – sponsored by Community TechKnowledge, a literacy and arts program software and outcomes management company.

The CTK Foundation has announced a seven-day extension of the deadline for the Heroes with a Heart Non-Profit Grant Awards, with a special focus on recognizing literacy and arts volunteers. Nominations across all categories may now be submitted through Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 11:59pm CST, with letters of intent due by Monday, March 5.

Literacy and arts volunteer heroes are eligible to win $5,000 through the CTK Foundation's Heroes with a Heart Grant Awards. Total cash grants to selected volunteers from diverse non-profits will equal $17,500 (USD) and additional professionally-produced public outreach video awards are valued at $30,000.

Both the nominating and nominated parties must be affiliated with a 501(c) 3 or registered charitable organization.

Nominate Your Arts Volunteers or Literacy Heroes

Nominations for CTK's arts volunteer or literacy hero awards are open now and applications close Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 11:59pm CST. Self-nominations will not be accepted and grant applications must be completed and submitted according to directions and schedule in order to be considered. CTK Foundation judges will select semi-finalists after reviewing all applications. From March 15 to April 15, 2012, at midnight, semi-finalist stories will be posted for voting on Facebook. Winners will be announced in early May.
