I do what I can to help and I'm especially thankful for all the others who help as well," said Dr. Hope.

San Diego, CA: Executives and authors from Alpine Publishing, the San Diego press, and warm hearted folks from all around San Diego county enjoyed an evening of entertainment, dinner and dancing to help raise money for a worthy cause, Childhelp.

Childhelp is one of the largest and oldest national, non-profit organizations dedicated to the treatment, prevention and research of child abuse and neglect. Founders Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson have tirelessly worked for over fifty years to eradicate child abuse/neglect and have been nominated six years in a row (including this year) for the Nobel Peace prize.

Childhelp has a village in Beaumont, CA where they take care of abused children. These actions require funds, so they want to thank all those who attended the Childhelp Masquerade Ball and donated to help this cause.

Childhelp’s anonymous national toll free hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD can be found in tens of thousands of Dr. Hope’s award-winning children’s storybooks. This is designed to give children access to the help that they may need in the event that they or someone they know are suffering from child abuse.

"I do what I can to help and I'm especially thankful for all the others who help as well," said Dr. Hope, "From now until St. Patrick's Day, I plan on donating 100% of my royalties from my latest book, 'Everybody Calls My Father, Father,' to Childhelp." (This book is about the true love story of his parents. His mother was an actress and his father was a Catholic priest.) There is also a page dedicated to Childhelp in the book.
