The company’s leadership recognizes the value of the state resources available to them, including the Job Training Fund and New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

The NH MEP held its most recent advisory board meeting at Johnson Precision’s new 50,000 square foot facility in Hudson, NH. Governor John Lynch attended the meeting and toured the new facility with CEO Jim Umland.

“Johnson Precision is a great company and a good example of how our successful economic strategy is working here in New Hampshire,” Gov. Lynch said. “The company’s leadership recognizes the value of the state resources available to them, including the Job Training Fund and New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership. By utilizing these resources and with a strong commitment from leadership and its many highly skilled employees, Johnson Precision is a growing, thriving and highly competitive company in the manufacturing sector.”

“We’ve utilized the services of NH MEP since late 2006, and it has helped us create a stronger, more efficient organization that provides greater service and greater value to our clients as a result,” stated Umland. “I joined the Advisory Board in 2011 to help give back to a program that has given so much to us. I want to let other New Hampshire manufacturers know how they can utilize and learn from this resource.”

Johnson Precision’s relationship with Governor Lynch began in October 2010 when the company received the second annual Governor’s Employment Leadership Award for its work in the area of employing people with disabilities. “One of our goals at Johnson Precision is the pursuit of employees with ’special abilities’ whenever possible,” stated Umland. “After hearing about our move to a new and larger facility Governor Lynch offered to come and meet all of our employees and tour the new facility. We couldn’t be more honored.”
