Anamaya is testing the waters with a new 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training program at their resort and retreat center in Montezuma, Costa Rica. Already known for their yoga retreats and 200 hour trainings, Anamaya has decided to add another training to their 2012 program that they hope will cater to all their past students as well as some new faces. Jacqueline Chiodo will run this 500 hour upgrade certification who has quite a following amongst her students. This program is a new venture for Anamaya but it seems to be a natural evolution for the company.

Every yoga training Anamaya has hosted has completely sold out so now that they have a number of graduates with their 200 hour certification they naturally have a built in market for a 500 hour program.

For the first time since Anamaya Resort and Retreat Center in Costa Rica opened their doors a little over two years ago, they have programmed a 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training into their 2012 schedule. This new development is based on an overwhelming response to their 200 hour Yoga Teacher Trainings. The popularity of their programs took the Owners of Anamaya a bit by surprise, Co-Owner of Anamaya Joseph Mikrut said, “We were overjoyed to experience the overwhelming response we received from our Yoga Teacher Trainings…it was lovely to see how our students bond and have remained friends since the trainings have ended.” Apparently, the word is spreading. Every yoga training Anamaya has hosted has completely sold out so now that they have a number of graduates with their 200 hour certification they naturally have a built in market for a 500 hour program.

A 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training program provides students with an upgraded certification from their 200 hour training. It includes 300 hours of dedicated study for 5 weeks in Costa Rica. Jacqueline Chiodo, who has been teaching yoga for 12 years, teaches this program at Anamaya. Jacqueline has taught a number of trainings at Anamaya over the past two years and is definitely a favorite amongst Anamaya’s guests. Mikrut said, “It feels really good to see the transformation in the YTT students as they discover a deeper understanding of themselves, deepen their practice and knowledge and gain confidence to share yoga with their communities.” Jacueline’s program enables yoga teachers to deepen their abilities, to explore chakra systems in greater detail, to increase knowledge of Ayurveda, and much more.

This Yoga Training program at Anamaya Resort includes accommodation for 5 weeks in Costa Rica, 3 organic daily meals, all classes required for the 500 hour certification level, and even additional excursions that allow the students to explore Costa Rica. Costa Rica is known to be one of the healthiest and happiest places in the world so it is not surprising that it has become a hotbed for yoga lovers. Anamaya is located in Montezuma which is knows to be a hub of artists and musicians, and is a popular destination for Eco-conscious tourists. Montezuma is truly a paradise with stunning beaches, luscious jungles, scenic waterfalls, and a community of diverse wildlife.

Anamaya is a picturesque location for a Yoga Teacher Training and we predict that their first 500 hour certification program will be just as popular as their 200 hour training, but it’s also a lovely location for a Costa Rican vacation. It truly is a little bit of paradise here on earth.
