Har-Bro Provides Swift Emergency Restoration Services to Major San Francisco Hotel Damaged by Water Leak

Two days prior to the Macworld/iWorld 2012 conference in late January, which had most area hotels booked for several weeks, a hot water line broke above a restroom on the hotel’s 11th floor. Har-Bro was able to provide emergency services intime to let the hotel continue business as usual.

Two days prior to the Macworld/iWorld 2012 conference in late January, which had most area hotels booked for several weeks, a hot water line broke above a restroom on the hotel’s 11th floor. The hot water affected seven floors and 55 rooms before the hotel engineers were able to shut it off.

Har-Bro was contacted around 9:30 p.m., and had a team of 20 that included project managers, project coordinators, lead superintendent, and technicians, all on site within two hours. They immediately implemented a water remediation plan designed to reduce business interruption for the hotel. Within a few days, the restoration work was completed, allowing the hotel to return to full occupancy.

In particular, the team created a specific timeline for water extraction and returning rooms to “industry dry standard,” which included preparing complete documents for the hotel’s insurance company. Har-Bro also worked closely with the hotel’s general contractor throughout the project.
