KidsHeadLice.com announces the launch of its comprehensive national directory of head lice removal professionals. KHL offers its directory as a free service in keeping with its mission to help parents safely and effectively rid their families of head lice.

During the last two years, the professional head lice removal industry has taken off. Professional nitpicking services are now available in most areas of the U.S.

KidsHeadLice.com has launched a comprehensive directory of these professionals as a free service to parents all over the country. Created in 2009, KHL has helped thousands of parents deal with head lice safely and effectively.

Use of the directory is free to parents, and listings are offered at no cost to all professional head lice services. KHL's goal is to provide one place where any parent in the country can instantly find and compare all professional head lice services available in her local area. KHL's directory includes all fifty states as well as Canada.

"The response to the launch of the directory has been terrific," stated Teresa Christine, CEO of KidsHeadLice.com. "Word is getting out. KHL traffic has been steadily increasing at 10-20% per month." KHL is committed to keeping its information current and accurate. Updates to listings are made daily.

"We saw a great need for a comprehensive professional directory. Many of the pro nitpicker services are relatively new start-ups. They're often very small businesses and may not yet be well-known in their own communities. Lots of parents don't realize these services exist," continued Christine.

"There are a few smaller lists of particular types of head lice services around on the web… a list of Lousebuster operators worldwide, for example. Or excellent listings of Shepherd Method-trained practitioners. From the point of view of parents, looking to identify and compare options, we saw the need for a complete list of all the different providers in an area."

KHL continues to provide information on how to treat head lice at home safely and effectively. Christine was inspired to start the site in 2009 after her own family contracted head lice, when she realized how many potentially harmful and/or ineffective products were being marketed to treat this common childhood affliction.

Parents encountering head lice are encouraged to visit http://www.kidsheadlice.com for solid information about how to deal with it safely and effectively.

Professional head lice removal specialists may obtain a free listing by submitting their business information to KHL. More information is available about the professional services directory at http://www.kidsheadlice.com/professional-lice-removal.html.
