Novosibirsk, Russia (PRWEB) March 01, 2012
IphostMonitor Inc., the developer of reliable monitoring tools, announces a new release of IPHost Network Monitor, a robust network and server monitoring tool designed for uptime and performance monitoring of web, mail, database, and other servers, network services and equipment, web sites and web applications. This release introduces group operations to help the network and server administrator save time on system configuration and maintenance monitoring. Now IPHost Network Monitor users can copy, delete, start, stop, and poll any selected monitors and hosts at once.
This ability is extremely helpful when an administrator has several servers with the same monitoring configuration at different locations. The admin can configure monitors for one server and then create as many copies as required. With the help of Remote Network Agents allowing monitoring in remote networks the administrator can quickly set up monitoring of similar servers located at different branches of a company. This can be of special interest to MSPs (Managed Service Providers) who often deal with a lot of servers with a similar or identical setup. One copy of IPHost Network Monitor can do the monitoring of up to 2000-5000 server parameters and network services.
About IPHost Network Monitor
IPHost Network Monitor helps network administrators ensure the trouble-free operation and smooth performance of local and wide area network resources by performing end-to-end monitoring of network servers and equipment, web servers, remote applications, and databases.
IPHost Network Monitor performs a variety of checks from basic connectivity (ping, TCP, and UDP checks) to industry standard SNMP v1/v2/v3 and WMI operations, and can check the performance and uptime of web pages, scripts and applications, remote databases, web and mail services among other things. IPHost Network Monitor can execute a remote script or program via SSH.
Another strong point of IPHost Network Monitor is an advanced and flexible alerting system. In case of performance bottlenecks or downtimes, IPHost Network Monitor alerts network administrators via one or more notification methods, and can attempt to automatically resolve the issue by executing a pre-defined script or binary on the affected server. The network monitoring tool can send an email or a text message (SMS) to a mobile phone (sending SMS via GSM modem is supported for more reliable alerting), or post an instant notification to ICQ, Jabber, or AOL IM messengers.
End-to-end web application monitoring is also included in the software. The ability to record and simulate real web application user activity (Web Transaction Monitor) allows ensuring the 24x7 operation of complex websites, enterprise web applications, web shops, and e-commerce sites.
