The extinguisher works by using a supersonic nozzle to disperse microscopic 'dry' water mist particles that suppress fires and extinguish burning materials by removing the oxygen that fuels them. After discharging a water mist fire extinguisher, the clean-up is quick and easy, with most of the water agent evaporating upon contact with the fire.
“They contain no harmful substances and leave no residue, often leaving no evidence of them being used at all as the water is so fine and evaporates very quickly,” explains Harry Dewick Eisele, managing director, Safelincs. “This makes them perfect for kitchens and food prep areas, where traditional powder or wet chemicals would usually leave a messy, poisonous residue and may involve a shut down, or where the contents are paper based or valuable.”
The extinguishers are also suitable for boats and other confined spaces. And they can safely be used near electrical equipment.
The British made extinguishers are approved to EN3, are 100% environmentally friendly and come with a five year warranty. Their extraordinary ratings mean that the majority of users will only need one water mist fire extinguisher rather than having to pair it up with a secondary unit.
The appliances come in one, three and six litre sizes making them suitable for domestic and commercial environments.
