FlowerPetal sales increase for Valentine's Day

FlowerPetal saw its Valentine’s Day sales increase 35% by volume over last year’s largest flower gifting day. FlowerPetal credits the increase to a number of factors including marketing programs, an improved economy, and logistical efficiencies gained in scaling up for the holiday.

FlowerPetal is a privately owned corporation and does not disclose specific financial figures. The florist operates out of two locations in Chicago, headquarters in the West Loop, and floral design and production in Florists’ Row on Fulton Street in Nearwest Chicago.

“We may have been able to do more business, but it’s a balancing act with scaling up and serving our customers well,” said Mark Benjamin co-founder of FlowerPetal. “Our edge is we serve our customers better than any other florist, and it would not be prudent to risk that reputation on squeezing out a few more flower arrangements” added Benjamin.
