Time to Go, a short film written and directed by Andy Rossi, begins shooting this month. The film navigates one man’s struggle with his ultimate decision that suicide is the right answer.

Style Free-in Productions is pleased to announce the highly anticipated dramatic-comedy short film, Time to Go, will begin shooting on February 17, 2012. The film stars Andy Rossi, Daryl Johnson, and Michael Rausa, and is co-directed and written by Rossi and Nishan Hagop, based on an award-winning original short story also written by Rossi.

Feeling that his life is over, Time to Go, follows one man’s decision that suicide is the answer to all life’s problems. The film begins on the day he has decided it’s time to end it all. During his attempt, he encounters someone or something; that may be able to point him in the right direction.

According to the film’s director, “The hope here is to entertain without falling into the usual trap of ridiculous sadness and morose characters, yet shying away from too comedic and slapstick. We need to meet in the middle and tell an honest story about one man's struggle and the person who may be able to help him,” said Rossi.

Time to Go is produced by Rossi, Richard Foulkes, and William Blomquist. Michael Garcia has signed on as the Director of Photography with Nikita Zubarev attached as the First Assistant Director.

[The film is] “Based on an experience I had one morning. I shared an elevator with a guy who looked beyond the brink of sadness. But, while he looked so haggard, he seemed quite optimistic. This lead to a short story providing a positive look on suicide, since it's always viewed so negatively,” Rossi said ,when asked about the inspiration for the film.
