Seasons Studios, a children’s health and wellness entertainment company that promotes childhood reading and health education, is inviting businesses to purchase any of Seasons Studios’ three children’s books and donate them to an elementary school of their choice in honor of the National Education Association’s 13th Annual Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

Seasons Studios is encouraging businesses, parents and educators alike to embrace early childhood reading and overall physical, emotional and mental health through interactive and engaging books. Those books include:

  •     Anatomix Comix: Co-written by Elson M Haas, MD, this comic book and music CD is an educational journey through the body that features twelve original songs about the major body systems, such as “Muscle Man,” “B-B-B-B-Bones,” “Breathe In, Breathe Out” and “You’ve Got a lot of Nerves.” For children in grades K-3.
  •     Count Broccula: Written and illustrated by San Francisco Bay Area artist Neil Osborn, this is a not-so-scary adventure of a boy who learns to love to eat his vegetables, especially broccoli. Eat your vegetables before they eat you! For children in grades K-3.
  •     Blimps & Whales: Written by Seasons Studios co-founder and famed children’s storyteller Bethany Argisle, this 44-page, hardcover book is a simple story that conveys a message of love and friendship between those different from each other, and promotes the protection of the natural world. For children in grades K-2.

This invitation commemorates two important dates in childhood education: The birthday of one of the most celebrated children’s book authors of all time, Dr. Seuss, and the NEA’s Read Across America Day, both of which are on March 2nd. Read Across America Day is an annual event that celebrates and encourages a love of reading in young children and is acknowledged in thousands of schools all around the United States.

As Dr. Seuss once wrote, “You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child."
